Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • possess basic computer experience for at least 6 months
  • ability to type at least 35 words per minute
  • attention to detail
  • free of disqualifying crimes and able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • must have a clear driving record and pass a 10-year criminal history check
  • proof of high school or GED completion
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time constraints
  • must be able to communicate safety policies effectively
  • able to perform safety and operational audits
  • willing to conduct safety meetings
  • capable of managing staffing and operational budgets
  • must be able to coordinate with various stakeholders
  • reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • 4 year college degree in relevant field strongly preferred or equivalent experience
  • strong understanding of ramp operations
  • ability to read, speak, and understand English fluently
  • good communication skills and outgoing personality
  • reliable transportation
  • ability to work weekends, holidays, and days off

Job Duties

  • Conduct monthly safety meetings for all employees
  • conduct flight, station, and "at risk" behavior audits
  • participate in monthly company safety conference calls
  • communicate and instill safety awareness in all employees including new hires
  • coordinate manpower requirements for group movements and peak travel periods
  • oversee recruiting and placement efforts to maintain staffing levels
  • ensure compliance with FAA, OSHA, EPA, US Dept. of Labor, and EEOC regulations
  • investigate, report, and implement corrective actions for aircraft damage or employee injury
  • manage disciplinary actions and ensure proper documentation
  • coordinate operational purchases and maintain adequate supplies
  • review payroll and daily hours to adhere to budget constraints
  • monitor operational irregularities and document out-of-scope activities
  • conduct weekly lead/supervisor meetings and daily briefings
  • ensure compliance with uniform and appearance guidelines
  • inspect facilities including supply and break rooms
  • review operational reports and disseminate information
  • investigate service failures including chargeable delays and mishandling
  • administer operational plans such as deicing and winter operations
  • complete personnel evaluations
  • liaise with customer service, airport authorities, and other stakeholders
  • respond to customer concerns
  • perform routine visits to authorities and attend airport tenant, security, and safety meetings
  • perform other duties as assigned
