Job Requirements

  • Current resident of the state of Wisconsin
  • valid state of Wisconsin driver’s license at time of hire and maintained throughout employment
  • ability to pass criminal history records check, security threat assessment, and customs and border protection background check
  • ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds
  • willingness to be on call for 24/7 coverage
  • availability to submit detailed account of training and experience through application
  • possession of minimum qualifications at time of filing application

Job Qualifications

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, aviation management, public or business administration, information technology, or related field and one year experience in military services, law enforcement, airport operations or public safety and security or possession of a high school diploma/GED equivalent and five years experience in military services, law enforcement, airport operations or public safety and security
  • knowledge of related computer and software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, GIS/asset management software, communication platforms, identity management control software, CCTV, and access control systems
  • ability to become certified as an Airport Security Coordinator within six months
  • ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds
  • experience coordinating with law enforcement agencies and stakeholders
  • strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Perform inspections and audits of airport facilities, employees, stakeholders, and procedures
  • enforce airport safety and security rules and regulations
  • support airport ID Badging Office including application review and badge processing
  • respond and investigate security-related incidents and accidents
  • monitor contract security performance and complete audits
  • coordinate irregular operations, construction, VIP movements, and special events
  • coordinate with law enforcement on airport security needs
  • serve as liaison with stakeholder management concerning security issues
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • rotate on-call 24/7 coverage
