Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of experience in the aviation industry or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Obtain and maintain position-appropriate NIMS and emergency management training
  • Obtain and maintain Ramp and Movement Area (MAT) driving privileges
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of experience in the aviation industry or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Obtain and maintain position-appropriate NIMS and emergency management training
  • Obtain and maintain Ramp and Movement Area (MAT) driving privileges
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license
  • Preferred credential: American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Airfield Operations credential
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and airport operations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships and handle confidential information professionally
  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to FAA and TSA regulations including FAA FAR Part 139 and TSA 49 CFR Part 1542 requirements
  • Implement and update critical airport documents including the Airport Certification Manual, Wildlife Hazard Management Plan, Airport Emergency Plan, and Airport Security Plan
  • Inspect airport facilities such as runways and lighting to identify repair and improvement needs
  • Enforce aircraft parking regulations and monitor ordinance compliance
  • Issue NOTAMs to communicate important airfield information
  • Perform daily, nightly, periodic, and special airfield inspections to maintain safety and operational efficiency
  • Respond promptly to airfield operational concerns to ensure smooth airport functions
  • Execute and support the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan using lethal and non-lethal wildlife control measures
  • Address and resolve issues from airport tenants and the public focusing on customer service
  • Manage and support operational and compliance projects collaborating with internal departments and external agencies
