Job Requirements
- Two years of college coursework plus three years paid experience in enforcement or customer service-related field
- two years of the three years paid experience must be in an airport environment
- working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- ability to work cooperatively and courteously with public and airport personnel
- excellent communication skills in verbal, written, telephone, and two-way radio
- ability to multi-task and prioritize during emergencies
- demonstrated investigative skills and report writing
- valid state driver’s license or Utah driving privilege card
- ability to obtain and maintain Customs and Border Protection clearance and airport badge
- must pass a post offer employment test
- CPR/AED certification within 90 days and maintain certification
- ability to analyze high stress and emergency situations calmly
- competency in basic computer skills
- required to work non-traditional hours, shift work, and possible overtime

- ability to obtain Customs and Border Protection clearance and maintain Airport Rules and Regulations knowledge
- certification in CPR/AED within 90 days
- competency in basic computer skills
- successful completion of post offer employment test
Job Duties
- Provides services in all public facilities of the airport terminal
- serves as a liaison to the public including daily passengers and airport employees
- provides information and guidance to customers and tenants courteously
- performs security functions including access control to airport facilities
- monitors passenger flow through terminal and TSA/Custome areas
- manages crowd control using barriers and controls access to facilities
- responds to inquiries and complaints
- monitors terminal facilities to identify operational issues and hazards
- ensures compliance with federal and local laws
- responds to and enforces TSA Transportation Security Regulations
- coordinates escort and VIP security during special events
- acts as a first responder to emergencies including structural, fire alarms, and medical incidents
- coordinates safe evacuation procedures and supports incident command
- retrieves and documents lost and found items
- assists passengers with disabilities and ADA compliance
- ensures Customs and Border Protection area readiness
- conducts nightly facility sweeps and enforces airport rules
- operates airport equipment
- completes detailed reports and maintains accurate records
- performs additional duties as assigned
