Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum two years experience applying directive or regulatory requirements in an operational environment required
  • Knowledge and experience with TSR 1542 preferred
  • Valid state driver’s license required
  • Ability to pass and maintain Criminal History Records check and Security Threat Assessment for PDX Security Badge required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in an airfield environment required
  • Ability to work under general supervision and in isolated situations required

Job Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of air terminal and landside operations including parking, ground transportation, busing, and airport safety and security rules

Job Duties

  • Provide 24/7 oversight of terminal and landside systems for safety, security, efficiency, and customer service under the direction of the Airport Duty Manager
  • Evaluate, report and recommend corrective actions on planned and unplanned terminal and landside closures and restrictions
  • Assist in coordination of activities to minimize impacts from emergencies, weather, construction, and maintenance
  • Conduct daily inspections of terminal, concourse, and public areas to assess operations and facility conditions
  • Monitor airline ticket lobbies, security checkpoints, and concessions for compliance and efficient passenger flow
  • Inspect parking facilities and taxi hold lot for provider compliance with Port ordinances and regulations
  • Provide exemplary customer service and collaborate with airlines and tenants to facilitate passenger movement and mitigate impacts during irregular operations
