Job Requirements
- Be an Alaska resident
- Possess eligibility for an airport identification badge in accordance with TSA regulations including fingerprinting and background check
- Hold a current Alaska driver's license
- Provide three professional references with contact information
- Be able to comply with federal laws regarding firearm use if applicable
- Maintain first aid certification as required
- Submit transcripts verifying education credentials
- Complete application fully with responses to supplemental questions

Job Qualifications
- Preparatory post-secondary education in aviation management, transportation, business administration, or public administration
- Progressive professional experience in airport operations management
- Knowledge of FAA, TSA, state, or military rules and regulations
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Competence in personnel security and safety procedures
- Technical competence through formal training or on-the-job experience
Job Duties
- Monitor daily land side and air side operational activities at the airport
- Coordinate and direct airport operations to ensure safety and compliance
- Exercise independent judgment during routine and emergency situations
- Enforce FAA, TSA, state, and military regulations and security directives
- Collaborate with multiple agencies to maintain airport security and operational efficiency
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies
- Maintain knowledge of airport systems and infrastructure for operational decision-making
