Job Requirements

  • Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
  • Must successfully pass all pre-screening clearances including background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Obtain and retain necessary credentials and clearances (SIDA and Customs Seal) per local requirements
  • Ability to move equipment up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be available to work weekends, nights and holidays as required
  • Must have the right to live and work in the USA
  • Proved track record in supplier management including contract negotiation and renewal
  • Strong cognitive reasoning and mathematical skills mandatory
  • Certain employees must obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of a drug-free workplace test

Job Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in airport or service-related discipline or equivalent education and experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in operations management, business administration, airport planning or related field is desirable
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Minimum three years of airport operational or customer handling experience
  • At least two years of recent supervisory or management experience
  • Up to date knowledge of regulatory and legal airport operations requirements
  • Strong leadership and independent decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence with superior interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in negotiation and supplier management
  • Good analytical and numerical skills with budget management experience
  • Ability to implement global policies locally
  • High personal presentation for representing the company
  • Strong computer literacy including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Adaptable to constant change and tight deadlines

Job Duties

  • Rigorously execute corporate safety, security and quality policies to ensure compliance
  • Achieve absolute operational integrity with zero safety defects and security infringements
  • Lead and motivate the airport operations team to deliver exceptional service
  • Manage supplier performance and conduct regular reviews
  • Plan and manage station budget and airport-related costs effectively
  • Oversee crisis management, emergency response and disruption plans
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with local airport authorities, partners and suppliers
  • Act as the Airline’s Operational Duty Holder (ODH) at the airport
  • Ensure on-time performance and efficient baggage handling
  • Inspire team to create memorable customer experiences and uphold Cathay Pacific’s service principles
  • Implement local strategy in alignment with Head and Regional Offices directives
  • Participate in recruitment, mentoring and training of airport team members
  • Represent Cathay Pacific in airport industry forums and committees
  • Monitor and improve operational processes to exceed published standards
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements relating to airport operations
  • Support ongoing employee communication and engagement
  • Manage and mitigate workplace safety and security risks
  • Champion cost efficiency and revenue maximization initiatives
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews with suppliers and implement action plans
  • Maintain emergency and contingency plans with regular updates and exercises
