Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree
  • four and one-half years of professional experience responsible for operation and/or maintenance of an air transportation facility or program
  • demonstrated supervisory aptitude
  • valid driver’s license at time of appointment
  • ability to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • successful completion of federal fingerprint-based criminal history record check for SIDA clearance
  • status as U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident alien, or eligibility for unrestricted employment in the U.S.
  • willingness to participate in in-person testing or interviews if required
  • compliance with public service loan forgiveness program eligibility if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • four and one-half years of professional experience in air transportation facility or program operations or maintenance
  • knowledge of federal, state, and county aviation laws, regulations, safety and security practices
  • demonstrated supervisory aptitude through work experience or training
  • ability to make time-sensitive decisions and handle operational crises
  • strong communication skills
  • experience dealing with the public and coordinating multi-faceted airport services

Job Duties

  • Serve as airport services manager during assigned shifts
  • coordinate activities of in-house and contract services at multiple airports
  • ensure safe and continuous 24/7 airport operations
  • comply with federal, state, and county laws and regulations
  • respond immediately to operational crises and safety incidents
  • communicate with emergency response teams and upper management
  • develop and execute complex operational plans with government agencies and stakeholders
  • initiate and recommend operational improvements related to airport operations, maintenance, customer service, and labor relations
