Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree
- four and one-half years of professional experience responsible for operation and/or maintenance of an air transportation facility or program
- demonstrated supervisory aptitude
- valid driver’s license at time of appointment
- ability to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- successful completion of federal fingerprint-based criminal history record check for SIDA clearance
- status as U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident alien, or eligibility for unrestricted employment in the U.S.
- willingness to participate in in-person testing or interviews if required
- compliance with public service loan forgiveness program eligibility if applicable
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- four and one-half years of professional experience in air transportation facility or program operations or maintenance
- knowledge of federal, state, and county aviation laws, regulations, safety and security practices
- demonstrated supervisory aptitude through work experience or training
- ability to make time-sensitive decisions and handle operational crises
- strong communication skills
- experience dealing with the public and coordinating multi-faceted airport services
Job Duties
- Serve as airport services manager during assigned shifts
- coordinate activities of in-house and contract services at multiple airports
- ensure safe and continuous 24/7 airport operations
- comply with federal, state, and county laws and regulations
- respond immediately to operational crises and safety incidents
- communicate with emergency response teams and upper management
- develop and execute complex operational plans with government agencies and stakeholders
- initiate and recommend operational improvements related to airport operations, maintenance, customer service, and labor relations
