Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years experience in emergency communications center within the last five years
- Familiarity with emergency management and the incident command system preferred
- Ability to operate multi-line telephone systems, two-way radios, and electronic office equipment
- Knowledge of computer aided dispatch or task-specific data entry software, spreadsheets, word processors and databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent phone rapport and customer service aptitude
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24x7 environment
- Must successfully complete required certifications within three months of employment including APCO Public Safety Telecommunicator I and FEMA ICS-100 and ICS-700
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass random drug screenings and background investigation
- Must maintain Security Identification Display Area training
- Must be able to work in fast-paced, unpredictable environment
- Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
- Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
- Must have sufficient visual and auditory acuity
- Must be able to fluently read, write and speak English

Job Duties
- Operate airport authority communication systems including public address system, multi-line telephone system, two-way radio system, in-house courtesy and emergency telephones
- Monitor electronic access system and alarm monitoring systems to detect security breaches, fire and burglar alarms, and serious malfunctions
- Prepare and maintain documentation to record details and activities and incidents
- Monitor Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) and Field Condition Reports
- Monitor closed circuit television (CCTV) and perform video surveillance
- Maintain situational awareness of other incidents or events which may potentially impact airport operations including traffic, weather, emergencies, or planned events
- Facilitate communication between the FAA Tower, Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), and airport police and fire units during emergencies
- Manage the integrity of the Airport security access points including badge control and authorization of access
- Perform duties in compliance with policies and procedures and participate in quality assurance and improvement programs
- Conduct emergency and safety training
- Serve as liaison to internal departments and outside agencies
- Provide customer assistance during absence of badging personnel and act as after-hours point of contact
- Receive, process, and manage lost and found property
- Assist customers with paging, flight information, and related services
- Represent the Department in projects and assist with the development and administration of the operating budget
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
