Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum age of 18 years
  • at least one year of experience in customer service, volunteering, or sales
  • strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • ability to complete an assessment evaluating adaptability, customer service, and safety orientation
  • complete fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • adherence to JetBlue Uniform Policy Manual standards
  • availability to work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends
  • experience with computer usage and office applications
  • ability to use handheld radios and public address systems
  • ability to acquire and maintain a valid SIDA Badge
  • capacity to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • depending on location, possession of a valid driver license with good driving record
  • depending on location, ability to acquire and maintain US Customs Clearance
  • available for up to 10% overnight travel
  • passing a pre-employment drug test
  • legal eligibility to work in the US

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least 18 years old
  • one year of customer service, volunteer, or sales experience
  • strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • complete fluency in written and spoken English
  • experience using computers and basic office applications
  • ability to use handheld radios and microphones
  • ability to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • ability to perform under pressure within time constraints
  • authorization to work in the US
  • good attendance, performance, and safety standing for internal candidates

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • conduct check-in process for customers via computer
  • verify customers’ personal identification
  • tag, lift, and handle customer luggage
  • announce flight arrivals, departures, and pre-boarding information via the public address system
  • communicate with customers to keep them informed
  • offer ancillary products such as 'even more speed' and 'even more space'
  • coordinate duties with coworkers and other departments
  • help prepare aircraft cabin for boarding and departure, including light cleaning
  • operate airport equipment such as jet bridges, turbo ways, and airstairs
  • assist customers with special needs
  • rotate through airport operations functions including gate and ticket counter
  • ensure and maintain a safe environment and operation
  • perform other duties as assigned
