Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED diploma
- at least eighteen years old
- one year of customer service, volunteer or sales experience
- strong interpersonal and listening skills
- must complete an assessment evaluating adaptability, customer service, and safety orientation
- complete fluency in written and spoken English
- must be able to adhere to JetBlue Uniform Policy Manual standards
- able to travel and/or work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends
- experience using computer and office applications
- must be able to use handheld radios and microphones
- must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- experience performing under pressure and within fixed time constraints
- depending on location may need a valid driver license and meet JetBlue insurance standards
- depending on location may need United States Customs Clearance
- available for overnight travel (10%)
- must pass a ten year background check and pre-employment drug test
- must be legally eligible to work in the country
- authorization to work in the US is required
- no visa sponsorship available
- good standing in attendance, performance and safety for internal candidates
Job Qualifications

- experience using a mouse, computer, keyboard and basic word processing, email and office applications
- ability to use handheld radios and microphones for communication and public announcements
- must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- experience performing under pressure and within fixed time constraints
- able to travel and/or work variable hours including holidays and weekends
- must be legally eligible to work in the US
- authorization to work in the US is required
- good standing in attendance, performance and safety for internal candidates
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service
- conduct check-in process for customers via computer
- verify customers' personal identification
- tag, lift, and handle customer luggage
- announce flight arrivals, departures, and pre-boarding information via the public address system
- communicate with customers to keep them informed
- offer ancillary products such as even more speed and even more space
- coordinate various duties with coworkers and other departments
- help prepare aircraft cabin for boarding and departure
- operate airport equipment including jet bridge, turbo way, and airstairs
- assist customers with special needs
- rotate through all Airport Operations related functions including gate and ticket counter
- ensure and maintain a safe environment and operation
- perform other duties as assigned
