Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
  • at least eighteen (18) years old
  • one (1) year of customer service or sales experience
  • strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • complete fluency in written and spoken English
  • pass assessment evaluating adaptability, customer service, and safety orientation
  • adhere to uniform policy manual standards
  • able to travel and work variable hours, flexible shifts including holidays and weekends
  • experience using a mouse, computer, keyboard, basic word processing, email, and office applications
  • able to use handheld radios and microphones for communication and announcements
  • able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • experience performing under pressure and within fixed time constraints
  • depending on location, possess and maintain a valid driver license meeting insurance standards
  • depending on location, acquire and maintain United States Customs Clearance
  • available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • able to make occasional trips to other locations for training or temporary assignments
  • pass pre-employment drug test
  • legally eligible to work in the country
  • authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • good standing in attendance, performance, and safety for internal candidates

  • authorization to work in the US

  • knowledge of customer service principles (preferred)
  • experience working with various forms of payment (preferred)
  • previous airline experience (preferred)
  • bilingual skills (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Verify customers' personal identification
  • tag, lift, and handle customer luggage
  • announce flight arrivals, departures, and pre-boarding information via the public address system
  • communicate with customers to keep them constantly informed
  • offer ancillary products such as "even more speed" and "even more space"
  • coordinate duties with coworkers and other departments to ensure proper handling of customers
  • help prepare aircraft cabin for boarding and departure including cleaning
  • operate airport equipment like jet bridges, turbo ways, and airstairs
  • assist customers with special needs including boarding assistance
  • perform and rotate through all Airport Operations related functions such as gate and ticket counter duties
  • perform other duties as assigned
