Job Requirements

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Obtain and maintain security clearance as required by role and TSA regulations
  • Proficient with office productivity software including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
  • Proficient with various computer, software, and radio equipment
  • Working knowledge of Access Control, Video Surveillance Systems, Facility Fire Monitoring Systems, and Emergency Paging Software is a plus
  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 139 and 49 CFR Part 1542 and how it applies to this position
  • Basic knowledge of law enforcement, fire department, aviation radio communications
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Speak clearly and distinctly
  • Must be able to type 40 WPM
  • Participate in airport, department, and role specific training
  • Must be able to multi-task and maintain situational awareness
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations in a calm and controlled manner
  • Sit for prolonged periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, aviation, emergency management, business administration, or related field preferred but not required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in airport operations, administration, or a position with direct aviation relevance preferred but not required
  • Experience in customer service, airport operations, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Dependable, demonstrates initiative and sound judgment

Job Duties

  • Gate management with AODB and FIDS monitoring
  • Coordinate with Airfield and Terminal Operations and Maintenance personnel via two-way radio during security, safety, and emergency incidents
  • Communicate and perform functions in accordance with the Airport Emergency Plan with internal and external stakeholders and surrounding agencies
  • Monitor and operate the Access Control System (ACS) and Digital Video Surveillance System (DVSS)
  • Maintain daily reports for operations, records, report logs, contractor tracker and checklists
  • Provide customer service and information to the public, travelers, tenants, agencies and airport staff
  • Monitor the facility fire alarm system
  • Monitor weather information system
  • Monitor various building automation and life safety systems and respond accordingly
  • Send notifications to stakeholders via the airport’s mass notification system
  • Availability to work additional hours as needed, including nights, weekends, mandatory overtime, holidays on a shift work basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned
