Job Requirements

must have bachelor's degree from accredited college or university with major coursework in aviation management business administration or closely related field
minimum four years of airport management experience including one year supervisory experience
must secure and maintain valid Florida Class E Driver's License
must secure and maintain airfield driving privileges movement and nonmovement area driving
must secure and maintain Security Identification Display Area access with Customs and Border Protection Seal
ability to coordinate and manage emergency response drills
willingness to work flexible hours including emergency situations
strong decision making and strategic mindset
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to build and lead effective teams
comply with all federal state and local regulations pertinent to airside operations

Job Qualifications

bachelor's degree in aviation management business administration or a related field
four years of airport management experience including at least one year of supervisory experience
knowledge of federal state and local aviation regulations including 14 CFR 139 and 1542
experience in ramp control and aircraft rescue firefighting operations
strong leadership and communication skills
ability to manage budgets and contracts
skills in emergency planning and response coordination
experience with airport operational programs and stakeholder relations
proficiency in conflict resolution and team building

Job Duties

plans organizes and directs airport management activities in airside operations
assists in operations division management and program development
administers ramp control and ARFF contractual agreements
oversees airport development and improvement projects
coordinates with airline station managers and government officials
prepares and reviews emergency and hurricane plans
plans and conducts emergency drills and response training
manages airport operations budget and capital improvement submittals
inspects county-owned facilities and airside safety programs
supervises aviation department staff and provides employee training and evaluations
leads coordination of special events and airside programs
ensures compliance with federal state and local airport regulations
interacts with airport stakeholders to build relationships and resolve issues
acts as division leader in the absence of senior management
participates in procurement contract negotiation and administration
responds to airport emergencies and coordinates emergency operations center activities
oversees regulatory compliance and policy development
attends professional meetings and represents airport interests
