Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree from accredited institution or certified foreign studies equivalency in airport or aviation management or related field and five years of experience in airport operations and management
- or nine years of progressively responsible experience in airport operations and management
- submission of college diplomas, transcripts, or letters of verification if qualifying with education and work experience
- willingness to participate in pre-employment medical screening and background checks
- ability to perform duties as designated disaster service worker under California Government Code
- commitment to embracing diversity and inclusion in the workplace
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in airport or aviation management or closely related field
- five years of increasingly responsible experience in airport operations and management
- or nine years of equivalent experience without degree
- knowledge of federal, state, and local aviation regulations
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- manage daily operations of multiple regional airports including Ramona, Borrego Valley, Fallbrook, and Ocotillo airports
- oversee airport staff and coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with aviation laws
- develop and manage budgets related to airport operations and maintenance
- supervise maintenance and infrastructure projects to maintain airport safety and efficiency
- liaise with community stakeholders to address concerns and promote airport services
- prepare and administer reports regarding airport activities and performance
- implement policies and procedures aligned with county and state regulations
