Job Requirements

  • Current resident of Wisconsin
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Minimum two years of semi-skilled mechanical, building, or grounds maintenance experience
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds
  • Good eyesight, hearing and physical ability
  • Willingness to work long hours in emergency situations and adverse weather
  • Obtain Commercial Driver’s License-Class B with air brake endorsement within six months
  • Obtain Class 1 Airfield Driving Certification within six months

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • At least two years of semi-skilled mechanical, building and grounds maintenance experience
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • Ability to operate heavy motorized equipment
  • Basic carpentry, welding and metal fabrication skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and emergency situations
  • Good physical condition to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds
  • Good eyesight and hearing

Job Duties

  • Perform maintenance, repairs and improvements to airport roads, grounds, runways, taxiways, parking areas, buildings, fixtures and fence lines
  • Operate and maintain specialized motorized equipment for grounds maintenance and snow removal
  • Perform maintenance to buildings and fixtures including carpentry, welding and sheet metal fabrication
  • Operate snow removal equipment during and after snow events using plowing, sweeping, and deicer chemical application
  • Perform daily maintenance and minor adjustments on a variety of motorized equipment including vans, trucks, loaders, backhoes, skid steer, graders and sweepers
  • Participate in training classes and assist in training other maintenance personnel
