Job Requirements
- Current resident of Wisconsin
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Minimum two years of semi-skilled mechanical, building, or grounds maintenance experience
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds
- Good eyesight, hearing and physical ability
- Willingness to work long hours in emergency situations and adverse weather
- Obtain Commercial Driver’s License-Class B with air brake endorsement within six months
- Obtain Class 1 Airfield Driving Certification within six months
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- At least two years of semi-skilled mechanical, building and grounds maintenance experience
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- Ability to operate heavy motorized equipment
- Basic carpentry, welding and metal fabrication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and emergency situations
- Good physical condition to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds
- Good eyesight and hearing
Job Duties
- Perform maintenance, repairs and improvements to airport roads, grounds, runways, taxiways, parking areas, buildings, fixtures and fence lines
- Operate and maintain specialized motorized equipment for grounds maintenance and snow removal
- Perform maintenance to buildings and fixtures including carpentry, welding and sheet metal fabrication
- Operate snow removal equipment during and after snow events using plowing, sweeping, and deicer chemical application
- Perform daily maintenance and minor adjustments on a variety of motorized equipment including vans, trucks, loaders, backhoes, skid steer, graders and sweepers
- Participate in training classes and assist in training other maintenance personnel
