Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- supplemented by vocational or technical training in airfield movement
- two years of experience in landscape maintenance, vehicle maintenance, or equipment operation
- any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license
- must obtain Airfield Certification within three months of employment
- must demonstrate proficiency in performing essential functions and apply county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures

Job Duties
- Utilize hand and power tools to maintain airfield runways, taxiway entrances, light lanes, and parking lots
- repair and maintain equipment
- perform preventative maintenance within the airport, including replacing filters, cleaning fans, and checking and repairing refrigerator leaks
- perform runway, taxiway, and ramp maintenance, including maintaining and repairing Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL)
- communicate with air traffic control technicians via two-way radio while working around moving aircraft
- maintain and troubleshoot the medium and high intensities of the airfield navigational light system
- perform other related duties as required
