Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school, completion of a GED, or vocational school
- Successfully complete HVAC and EPA Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling Certification
- Complete basic HVAC courses
- Have knowledge of Honeywell Building Management System
- Have knowledge of Johnson Control (METASYS) Building Management System
- At least four years of experience in boiler repair
- Prior experience in high pressure hot water system
- Have knowledge of heat exchangers
- Successfully complete basic electricity courses
- Five years of experience as an electrician
- Prior experience in high voltage repair, electronics repair, and electrical/mechanical repair
- Prior experience in maintaining and repairing electrical, electronic, and electrical/mechanical equipment
- At least two years' experience in Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) repair
- Successfully complete high voltage training program
- Have knowledge of exterior and interior lighting systems, underground cable, transformers and emergency generators
- Be able to read blueprints, schematics, and construct electrical and electronic systems consistent with the national electrical code
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers
- Ability to perform the physical and cognitive tasks outlined in the job description
- Basic working knowledge of computer systems.

Job Duties
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handling units, hydronic and pneumatic systems, and building automation systems
- Monitor and adjust Building Management System software to ensure proper function
- Monitor and maintain air quality and chemical levels in terminal hydronic system per ASHRAE standards
- Perform daily safety inspections and monthly combustion analysis on boilers during heating season
- Maintain solar heating systems at various locations
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electric, electrical/mechanical, and HVAC equipment including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, monitoring, or part replacements
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electrical/mechanical, and HVAC systems, including glycol recovery and treatment
- Perform daily airfield lighting repairs at airport facilities
- Service, inspect, and repair all electrical systems, including testing automatic transfer and emergency power systems
- Troubleshoot, repair, or replace electronic, electrical, and fiber optic systems using schematics, blueprints, and test equipment
- Maintain and repair airport baggage conveyor systems
- Perform welding and metalworking tasks
- Design, build, and install new electronic and electrical systems including conduit, wiring, data cable, fiber optics, and service panels
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and PLC control systems
- Repair, replace, and inspect airfield lighting control systems and calibrate them according to FAA regulations
- Report unusual security situations and maintain Airport Access Control Systems including alarms, gates, CCTV, and audiovisual systems per TSA regulations
- Install, repair, and maintain VHF and UHF mobile radio units
- Troubleshoot and repair Public Address System
- Respond on a 24-hour basis for emergency repairs
- Participate in snow removal duties during winter months
- Perform any other assigned functions.
