Job Requirements

  • Graduation from high school, completion of a GED, or vocational school
  • Successfully complete and pass HVAC and EPA Refrigerant Recovery/Recycling Certification
  • Complete basic HVAC courses
  • Knowledge of Honeywell Building Management System
  • Knowledge of Johnson Control (METASYS) Building Management System
  • At least four years of experience in boiler repair
  • Prior experience in high pressure hot water system
  • Knowledge of heat exchangers
  • Successfully complete basic electricity courses
  • Five years of experience as an electrician
  • Prior experience in high voltage repair, electronics repair, and electrical/mechanical repair
  • Prior experience maintaining and repairing electrical, electronic, and electrical/mechanical equipment
  • At least two years experience in Variable Frequency Drive repair
  • Successfully complete high voltage training program
  • Knowledge of exterior and interior lighting systems, underground cable, transformers and emergency generators
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and construct electrical and electronic systems consistent with the national electrical code
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Ability to perform the physical and cognitive tasks
  • Basic working knowledge of computer systems

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of interior and exterior lighting, underground cable, transformers, and emergency generators
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Basic computer literacy

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handling units, hydronic and pneumatic systems, and building automation systems
  • Monitor and adjust Building Management System software
  • Monitor and maintain air quality according to ASHRAE standards
  • Conduct daily safety boiler inspections and monthly combustion analysis during heating season
  • Maintain various solar heating systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems related to glycol recovery
  • Perform daily airfield lighting repairs
  • Inspect and repair electrical systems, automatic transfer, and emergency power systems
  • Use schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, fiber optic, and PLC control systems
  • Repair and maintain airfield lighting control systems and calibrate in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Report unusual security situations
  • Maintain access control systems including alarms, vehicle gates, CCTV, and audio visual systems per TSA standards
  • Install and maintain VHF and UHF radios
  • Repair Public Address Systems
  • Respond on a 24-hour basis for emergency repairs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
