Job Description

The Clark County Department of Aviation is a pivotal agency responsible for managing and overseeing airport operations within Clark County, including the highly trafficked McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. Job Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of hire
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Employment contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass a fingerprint-based FBI criminal background check
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security badge
  • Permanent residency within Clark County boundaries required within 90 days of employment
  • Availability to attend meetings and execute events outside normal working hours
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls on an off-hours basis
  • Must provide two original government-issued IDs upon hire

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, food & beverage management, marketing, communications or related field
  • Two years of full-time experience in event coordination, arts programming, community engagement or hospitality operations
  • Experience working with artists, performers, vendors and community organizations preferred
  • Strong creative, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to produce public-facing materials and digital content
  • Proficient in managing budgets and project timelines
  • Knowledge of safety, security, and ADA compliance
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and departments

Job Duties

  • Plans, coordinates, and executes airport special events, ceremonies, seasonal programming, and experiential activations
  • Develops and executes arts and cultural programming that reflects the community, promotes local artists, and enriches the guest experience
  • Coordinates art exhibitions, live performances, cultural displays, and temporary installations in terminal spaces
  • Serves as the primary liaison with local artists, arts organizations, schools, nonprofit groups, and cultural institutions
  • Ensures all programs comply with safety, security, ADA accessibility, and airport operational requirements
  • Collaborates with airport divisions, airlines, concessions, marketing, operations, and vendors to ensure seamless event execution
  • Manages timelines, budgets, contracts, supplies, permits, and vendor coordination related to events and cultural programs
