Job Requirements

  • valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of hire
  • completion of pre-employment drug examination
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • maintain principal place of residency within Clark County and provide proof of Nevada motor vehicle registration and driver's license compliance within 90 days of employment
  • ability to pass education/experience background investigation and fingerprint-based FBI criminal history check
  • ability to be granted and maintain a TSA security badge
  • compliance with Customs and Border Protection Security Seal Program requiring ten year employment and five year residency history
  • attendance at meetings and event execution outside normal working hours
  • use of standard office, desktop publishing and audio-visual equipment
  • ability to drive personal or county vehicle to meetings and site visits

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • two years of full-time professional experience in event coordination, arts programming, community engagement or hospitality operations
  • experience working with artists, performers, vendors and community organizations preferred
  • strong creative, organizational and communication skills
  • ability to produce public-facing materials including visual presentations and promotional content

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate and execute airport special events, ceremonies, seasonal programming and experiential activations
  • develop and execute arts and cultural programming that reflects the community and promotes local artists
  • coordinate art exhibitions, live performances, cultural displays and temporary installations in terminal spaces
  • serve as the primary liaison with local artists, arts organizations, schools, nonprofit groups and cultural institutions
  • ensure all programs comply with safety, security, ADA accessibility and airport operational requirements
  • collaborate with airport divisions, airlines, concessions, marketing, operations and vendors to ensure seamless event execution
  • manage timelines, budgets, contracts, supplies, permits and vendor coordination related to events and cultural programs
