Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, aeronautical engineering, or related field
- relevant experience in airport or transportation project management
- ability to work at least two days per week onsite in Madison, Wisconsin
- authorized to work in the United States
- availability for independent travel within Wisconsin
- successful completion of a criminal background check
- strong communication and organizational skills
- proficiency in project management and engineering software
Job Qualifications
- Experience providing plan and specification reviews of engineering bid documents
- experience in planning, design, and construction phases of projects including drafting engineering documents and enforcing contract specifications
- experience managing business programs, projects, or workflows
- experience performing field work activities related to roadways, structures, or airports is preferred
- experience managing, coordinating, and implementing projects including estimating, budgeting, and task assignments is desirable
- experience communicating technical information to a non-technical audience
Job Duties
- Provide plan and specification reviews of engineering bid documents
- manage and coordinate projects from planning through construction phases
- serve as liaison between local officials, FAA, and state agencies
- develop project parameters and enforce contract specifications
- perform technical communication to non-technical audiences
- conduct field work activities including inspections and quantity calculations
- support training and mentoring of team members
