Job Requirements

  • Must be a local (in-state) resident
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid in-state driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to pass up to a 10-year background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
  • Must be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
  • Must be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid in-state driver’s license
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check
  • Completion of ramp and SIDA training
  • Ability to carry heavy items and be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft
  • Minimum age of 18 years

Job Duties

  • Assists passengers with their baggage pick-up
  • Assists passengers to resolve issues with their delayed, lost, or damaged items
  • Utilizes computer software to track and catalog luggage
  • Handles customer interaction with class in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
  • Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position
  • Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
