Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
  • Possess entry-level computer skills
  • Occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds
  • Pass an extensive post offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and criminal history record check required by federal law
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient communication skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Entry-level computer skills
  • Ability to understand, read, and speak English
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to operate airline computer systems is a plus
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously over the phone and in person
  • Announce both incoming and outbound flights
  • Handle credit card and personal check transactions with accuracy and complete airline close out procedures
  • Accept and process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs and place on conveyor belts
  • Operate jetways to position them prior to aircraft arrival and manage aircraft doors securely
  • Use airline computer systems for providing flight information, ticketing, boarding documents, lost or damaged baggage reports, and cargo tracking
  • Stand and work in one location for up to four hours at a time
  • Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport
  • Work independently without direct supervision
