Job Requirements
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)
- Three years of full-time experience in communications, event planning, customer service, or public engagement
- Must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check as required by the Transportation Security Administration
- Ability to exert up to 25 lbs occasionally and to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods during event coordination and attendance
- Availability to work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with flexibility for event or airport operation needs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Ability to maintain professionalism and effectiveness under pressure
- Willingness to collaborate with a diverse team and community partners
Job Qualifications
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)
- Three years of full-time experience in communications, event planning, customer service, or public engagement
- Experience in a customer-facing role within hospitality, tourism, or airport services (preferred)
- Experience in event planning or hospitality management (preferred)
- Experience with program membership (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of airport services and hospitality industry standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain professional under pressure
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and event planning skills
- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication abilities
- Creativity and initiative in designing engaging passenger experiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a strong self-starter
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with multitasking
Job Duties
- Plan and execute airport tours and special events including passenger engagements and receptions
- Develop and implement recognition events for volunteers and ambassadors
- Support airport public relations and communications initiatives
- Assist social media team with content creation from events and passenger engagement activities
- Collaborate with airport communications team to update and maintain customer-facing website information
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of customer service initiatives including digital welcome kiosks, volunteer programs, AskFlyCOS email responses, website updates, ADA programs, and promotional items
- Supervise and support volunteer ambassadors
- Oversee public-facing programs such as airport music program, parking program, volunteer and educational programs, Sunflower Program for Hidden Disabilities, and event tables
- Perform other duties as assigned
