Job Requirements
- Ability to work early morning shifts
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to push luggage carts weighing up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours continuously
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests
- Must complete airline compliance training timely
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Must follow company appearance guidelines
- Must successfully pass pre-employment criminal background check
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing
Job Qualifications
- At least six months of experience in a face-to-face guest service position preferred
- Data entry and computer experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
- Ability to work in early morning shifts and outdoor weather conditions
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background screening
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they approach the check-in desk
- Assist guests with luggage check-in and verify their flight itinerary and bag count
- Input guest information for those new to the process
- Process and charge for checked bags according to airline policy
- Weigh baggage to ensure compliance with weight limits and charge for overweight bags
- Tag luggage appropriately with destination tags
- Provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts to guests
- Secure luggage immediately after processing
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with guests
- Keep the concierge desk organized and stocked
- Uphold client guest service guidelines and values
- Manage guest payments using credit cards
- Answer telephone and guest inquiries
- Perform basic addition calculations as needed
