Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- capability to push luggage carts weighing up to 100 pounds
- ability to stand for up to eight hours
- work outdoors in all weather conditions
- clean-shaven appearance for men except for full facial hair
- no visible tattoos or body piercings
- wear clean and approved uniforms
- maintain professional grooming and hygiene
- ability to maintain positive attitude in fast-paced environment
- successful completion of on-the-job security training and obtain applicable airport badges
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work in early morning shifts
- at least six months experience in face-to-face guest service
- experience in data entry or computers preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- knowledge of airline or travel industry preferred
- eligibility to work in the United States
- pass pre-employment criminal background check
- pass pre-employment drug testing
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and immediately as they approach the desk
- assist guests with luggage check-in to the appropriate airlines
- verify guest flight itineraries and the number of bags being checked
- input guest information for those not previously enrolled
- process check-in including charging credit cards as per airline requirements
- weigh guests' bags and charge for overweight luggage
- tag guest luggage appropriately with destination tags
- provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts to guests
- secure luggage immediately after acceptance and processing
- maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ensure a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times
- organize and stock the concierge desk
- uphold client's guest service guidelines and values
- manage payments received from guests
- answer telephones and guest inquiries
- manage simple addition tasks
