Job Requirements
- Follow company appearance guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Must be able to push luggage cages both empty and full
- Work outdoors 100 percent of the time in varying weather conditions
- Tolerate continued vehicle and crowd noise
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time
- Regularly lift, carry, reach, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
- Occasionally bend, squat, and kneel
- Walk approximately 50 percent of the time
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work in the early morning rotation
- At least 6 months experience in a face-to-face guest service position preferred
- Data entry and/or computer experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients
- Ability to work in outside weather conditions required
- Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must successfully pass pre-employment criminal background screening
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing process
Job Duties
- Warmly greet guests as they approach the desk
- Assist guests with check-in of luggage to appropriate airlines, verify flight itinerary and number of bags
- Input guest information for those not previously enrolled
- Process check-in of bags including charging guest credit cards as per airline requirements
- Weigh bags to verify appropriate weight and charge for overweight bags
- Tag guest luggage with destination tags
- Provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets and receipts to guests
- Secure luggage immediately upon completion of processing
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication
- Uphold a positive, friendly and professional manner at all times
