Job Requirements
- Must have ability and availability to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must complete airline compliance training within company timeframes
- Must be able to stand for up to eight hours
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to push luggage cages weighing approximately 100 pounds
- Must follow company appearance guidelines
- Ability to maintain a professional business-like image
- Must manage payments through credit card processing
- Must answer guest inquiries and provide direction
- Able to perform simple addition for transaction management
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work in early morning shifts
- At least 6 months experience in face-to-face guest service preferred
- Data entry or computer experience preferred
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment criminal background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing
Job Duties
- Warmly greet guests as they approach the curbside check-in desk
- Assist guests with the check-in of luggage to the appropriate airlines
- Verify guest flight itineraries and number of bags
- Input guest information for those not previously enrolled in the process
- Process payment for checked luggage according to airline requirements
- Weigh bags to verify appropriate weight and charge overweight fees
- Tag luggage with correct destination tags
- Provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts if applicable
- Secure luggage immediately after processing
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with guests and team
- Organize and stock concierge desk
- Uphold client guest service guidelines
- Manage payments including credit card transactions
- Answer telephones and respond to guest questions
- Perform basic addition and financial transactions
- Adhere to safety, security, and hazardous material handling procedures
