Job Requirements

  • Follow company appearance guidelines
  • ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • ability to push luggage cages both empty and full
  • work outdoors 100 percent of the time including all weather conditions
  • ability to tolerate vehicle noise and large group sounds
  • ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time
  • regularly lift, carry, reach, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
  • occasionally bend, squat, and kneel
  • walk up to 50 percent of the time
  • maintain professional dress, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • men must be clean-shaven except for fully-grown facial hair
  • no visible tattoos or body piercings unless covered
  • wear clean and well-maintained approved uniforms
  • additional requirements specified by management

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work in the early morning rotation
  • at least six months experience in a face-to-face guest service position preferred
  • data entry and computer experience preferred
  • ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
  • eligibility to work in the United States
  • successful completion of pre-employment criminal background screening
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug testing

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet guests as they approach the desk
  • assist guests with check-in of luggage to appropriate airlines
  • verify guest flight itinerary and number of bags
  • input guest information for new enrollments
  • process check-in and charge guests credit cards as per airline policies
  • weigh bags and apply charges for overweight luggage
  • tag luggage with destination tags
  • provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts
  • secure luggage immediately after processing
  • maintain excellent verbal and written communication
  • maintain a positive, friendly, and professional manner
  • organize and stock the concierge desk
  • uphold guest service guidelines and values
  • manage payments received from guests
  • answer telephones and respond to guest questions
  • perform simple addition for transaction accuracy
