Job Requirements
- Follow company appearance guidelines
- ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- must be able to push luggage cages both empty and full
- able to work outdoors 100% of the time in all weather conditions including rain, humidity, and allergy-related issues
- able to handle continuous noise including vehicle horns and large group noise
- able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
- regularly lift, carry, reach, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
- occasionally bend, squat, and kneel
- able to walk 50% of the time
- clean shaven unless fully-grown beard, mustache, or goatee
- no visible tattoos or body piercings unless covered by uniform
- clean and well-maintained uniform must be worn on shift
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work in the early morning rotation
- at least 6 months experience in a face-to-face guest service position preferred
- data entry and/or computer experience preferred
- ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients
- ability to work in outside weather conditions
- knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
- must be eligible to work in the United States
- must successfully pass pre-employment criminal background screening
- must pass pre-employment drug testing process
Job Duties
- Greet guests immediately and warmly as they approach the desk
- assist guests with check-in of luggage to appropriate airlines and verify flight itinerary and bag count
- input guest information for those not previously enrolled
- process check-in of guests’ bags including credit card charges as per airline requirements
- weigh guests’ bags to ensure appropriate weight and charge for overweight bags
- tag guest luggage appropriately with destination tags
- provide boarding pass, luggage claim tickets, and receipt if applicable before guests leave the desk
- secure luggage immediately upon completion of processing
- maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills
- uphold a positive, friendly, and professional manner
- organize and stock the concierge desk
- manage credit card payments received from guests
- answer telephones and respond to guest questions
- manage simple addition for payment processing
