Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to push luggage cages weighing approximately 100 pounds
  • Must stand for up to 8 hours
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must pass pre-employment criminal background check
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test
  • Employee must follow appearance guidelines including grooming and uniform policies
  • Must be able to obtain all required airport badges
  • Ability to manage credit card payments
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work early morning shifts
  • At least 6 months experience in face-to-face guest service preferred
  • Data entry and computer experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills with guests and clients
  • Knowledge of airline or travel industry preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Able to pass criminal background screening
  • Able to pass drug screening

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet guests as they approach the desk
  • Assist guests with luggage check-in to appropriate airlines
  • Verify guest flight itinerary and number of bags
  • Input guest information for unenrolled passengers
  • Process luggage check-in including credit card payments
  • Weigh bags and charge for overweight luggage
  • Tag guest luggage with destination tags
  • Provide boarding passes, luggage claim tickets, and receipts
  • Secure luggage after processing
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication
  • Uphold a positive and professional demeanor
  • Organize and stock the concierge desk
  • Follow client guest service guidelines
  • Manage payments received from guests
  • Answer telephones and guest inquiries
  • Perform simple addition calculations
