Job Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in Aviation, Airport Management or related field
- or High School Diploma or GED with two years experience in a communications center preferably in an airport environment
- familiarity with emergency management and incident command system preferred
- proficiency with multi-line telephone systems, two-way radios, electronic office equipment and computers
- knowledge of spreadsheets, word processors and databases
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- professional demeanor and appearance
- strong organizational and detail-oriented skills

- effective multitasking in fast-paced environments
- proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Job Duties
- Maintain compliance with the Airport Security Plan (ASP), 49 CFR Part 1542 and 14 CFR Part 139
- operate aircraft gate scheduling and communication systems including aircraft gate scheduling software, airport security software, public address system, multi-line telephone system, two-way radios, in-house courtesy and emergency telephones, and work order management system
- maintain continuous awareness of radio traffic and interpret communication requirements
- maintain contact with FAA, TSA and Air Traffic Control Tower as required
- report routine and emergency maintenance needs on airport properties and facilitate emergency response coordination with law enforcement, public safety, and operations staff
- log airport activity accurately in computer systems
- coordinate and disseminate information to management staff, departments, public safety officials and external agencies
- provide responses to general inquiries regarding flights, terminal services, rental properties, and noise abatement
- prepare and maintain documentation of incidents and activities
- maintain situational awareness of events impacting operations and public safety
- facilitate communication for airport and aircraft emergencies
- evaluate and recommend improvements to policies and procedures
- participate in emergency and safety training and drills
- maintain working relationships with tenants and customers with high service standards
- assist with lost and found property management
- provide paging and flight information services
- perform operational assistance as required
- maintain safe and orderly work area
- perform additional duties as assigned by management
