The dish room workers play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of a busy flight kitchen environment, such as Sky Cafe. Job Requirements
- must be willing to work in a stressful, time-oriented work environment
- must be flexible and able to react to changing priorities
- must comply with all work rules and regulations
- must be able to carry, lift, push and pull 50+ lbs
- must be able to stand, bend, lift and move during shift of 8+ hours
- must be able to walk/stoop/bend/stand during shift of 8+ hours
- must be able to work in extreme varying temperatures
- must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug screens and a criminal background check including all TSA and Custom requirements
- must be able to perform work using required PPE including but not limited to protective gloves, cooler/freezer gloves, hot mitts, cut resistant gloves, protective aprons, protective goggles, hearing protection, safety footwear and all required PPE
- must have regular attendance in conformance with established standards
- must be flexible to work in an environment that might include overnights, weekends and holidays
- must comply with Sky Cafe rules and regulations upon employment
Job Qualifications
- experience working in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
- ability to follow strict hygiene and safety protocols
- good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor
- attention to detail and ability to sort and organize effectively
- understanding of and compliance with PPE usage
- flexibility to work overnight, weekend and holiday shifts
Job Duties
- maintain all dish room equipment including cleaning and sanitizing
- sort dishes and equipment according to specifications and needs
- comply with all work rules and regulations
- work in a time-oriented, stressful environment
- carry, lift, push and pull items weighing over 50 pounds
- stand, bend, lift, move and work for shifts longer than 8 hours
- work in extreme varying temperatures
