Job Requirements
- Graduation from accredited four-year college or university with bachelor's degree in marketing, property management, business, or related field
- Four years of progressively responsible and comprehensive professional experience in retail management and development
- Education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
- Working knowledge of commercial leasing, marketing and development
- Ability to negotiate, implement and administrate property contracts and leases
- Ability to assess retail and real estate market conditions and make projections and recommendations
- Proficient in computer use including spreadsheet, word processing and presentation programs
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with governmental agencies, airport employees, business partners, security agencies and consultants
- Knowledge of business administration principles as they relate to civil airports
- May require valid driver's license or driving privilege card
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, property management, business, or related field
- Four years of progressively responsible professional experience in retail management and development
- Working knowledge of commercial leasing, marketing, and development
- Demonstrated negotiation and contract administration skills
- Ability to assess retail and real estate market conditions and make recommendations
- Proficient in spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with governmental agencies and business partners
- Knowledge of business administration principles related to civil airports
- Valid driver's license or driving privilege card may be required
Job Duties
- Assess existing and potential commercial services and activities at the airport system focusing on retail, advertising, merchandising, food and beverage service, and rental car operations
- Research, prepare, and present business and development plans
- Develop airport commercial programs to ensure revenues and service levels
- Prepare budget and revenue projections and financial analyses
- Meet with commercial industry providers to develop a comprehensive airport commercial program
- Negotiate leases, permits, concessions, and real property contracts with tenants and commercial providers
- Develop plans for maximizing commercial space potential and ensure compliance with performance standards
- Coordinate tenant build-outs and modifications with retailers, engineers, architects and city staff
- Monitor customer demographics, trends, and adjust commercial program objectives accordingly
- Collaborate with security agencies to ensure tenant compliance with security protocols
- Monitor customer service standards and resolve complaints or disruptions
- Participate in special projects related to airport expansion and development
- Prepare budgets for section and division expenditures
- Perform other duties as assigned
