Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- obtain a clear criminal record
- ability to obtain necessary airport and security clearances
- ability to work within required time parameters
- ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
- must successfully complete airline and corporate specific training programs and recertification
- must be able to operate all equipment pertaining to the position (forklifts, high lift trucks, catering vans)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a catering, warehouse or food production role preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to operate forklifts, high lift trucks and catering vans
- strong communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, G Mail, and Google Drive
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- positive and professional attitude
Job Duties
- Understand and promote the company core values
- build and strip commissary according to airline specifications and schedules within established timelines
- ensure production areas comply with sanitation standards and customer company requirements
- actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- complete inventories according to airline requirements
- understand and comply with Canada Border Services Agency Memorandum D7-1-1 and D4-1-4
- understand and comply with Transport Canada requirements
- comply with Sky Cafe Food policies and procedures
- actively participate in Sky Cafe's Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations
- responsible for maintaining safety and security of the warehouse at all times
- assist in set up, cleaning and storage of equipment and warehouse
- responsible for courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of food and goods, including loading and unloading
- receive, perform temperature testing and inspection of catering deliveries from food service providers
- comply with all Sky Cafe and airline policies
- constantly communicate with other catering personnel and respective airline communication centers if applicable
- perform other duties as required
