Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess valid driver’s license
- Obtain clear criminal record
- Ability to obtain necessary airport vehicle operator’s permit
- Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs regularly
- Ability to work within required time parameters
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
- Must successfully complete airline-specific training programs and recertification
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No previous experience needed but reliability and willingness to learn essential
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Completion of airline-specific training and recertifications
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Job Duties
- Build/strip commissary according to airline specs and schedules within established timelines
- Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Complete inventories according to airline requirements
- Understand and comply with IATA food safety requirements
- Report hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations
- Maintain safety and security of the warehouse at all times
- Assist in set up, cleaning, and storage of equipment and warehouse
- Handle food and goods courteously, promptly, accurately, and carefully
- Receive, perform temperature testing and inspection of catering deliveries
- Operate forklift safely including equipment checks
- Comply with Sky Cafe and airline policies
- Transport, load and unload aircraft galleys to/from warehouse and aircraft
- Constantly communicate with catering personnel and airline communication centers
- Coordinate and oversee aircraft turnaround activities ensuring SLA standards
- Ensure safety and security of all employees
- Perform other duties as required
