Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, accounting or related field
- minimum of five years experience in government accounting, budgeting or financial management
- experience in grant writing and management
- proficiency with computerized information systems including GIS and LAN
- knowledge of public personnel policies
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- ability to work independently and supervise staff
- must pass employment verification and background checks
- must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

- several years of experience in government accounting, budgeting and financial management
- expertise in grant writing and administration
- knowledge of computer systems including GIS, LAN and data networks
- experience with public personnel administration
- understanding of aviation tenant requirements and regulations
- strong analytical, communication and supervisory skills
- ability to plan, schedule and evaluate work of subordinates
- demonstrated initiative and effective decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Coordinates and negotiates the rental and leasing of airport facilities to aeronautical, commercial or industrial tenants
- participates in policy development and implementation of airport fees and insurance coverage
- acts as liaison between the Airport and county departments including Finance, Prosecuting Attorney, Property Management, Public Works, Personnel and Information Services
- coordinates installation of data processing, mapping and CAD systems, communications and financial systems
- liaises with the Federal Aviation Administration on planning, engineering, grants and airport improvement projects
- researches funding sources, prepares grant applications and administers grants
- develops the Airport's annual budget and compiles draft budget schedules
- monitors department revenues and expenditures and implements improvements in financial systems
- serves as project manager for county, state, FAA, and Boeing audits and inspections
- plans, organizes, coordinates and supervises office and accounting subordinates
- participates in hiring, discipline, transfer and termination of employees
- advises, assists, trains and evaluates subordinates
- develops and implements Airport rules, regulations and procedures in budget, capital improvement, accounting, communications, office automation and computer security
- acts as the Airport Personnel Division head administering county personnel policies
- develops quality management, customer service training and customer satisfaction surveys
- maintains necessary records and prepares reports
- may represent the Airport Manager with other government agencies and districts
- may perform duties of subordinate level employees as required
- performs related duties as required
