Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or possession of GED
- three to five years of experience in building maintenance and/or any of the skilled trades
- ability to learn and apply Airport security and safety rules and regulations
- ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines
- class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B) or ability to obtain within six months
- on call status
- sufficient clarity of speech and hearing
- sufficient vision or other powers of observation
- sufficient manual dexterity
- sufficient strength and endurance to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or possession of GED
- three to five years of experience in building maintenance and/or any of the skilled trades
- ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing
- skill in the use of hand and power tools
- ability to understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures and instructions
- ability and willingness to quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge
- integrity, ingenuity and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks
Job Duties
- Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on all structural and mechanical systems within airport facilities
- Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on small equipment, irrigation systems, jetway bridges, commute-a-walks and related
- Troubleshoots and replaces defective electrical and electronic equipment
- Installs electric, computer and telephone cable
- Troubleshoots, performs preventative maintenance and performs repairs on Building HVAC systems
- Performs snow removal and de-icing operations during snow storms
- Enforces Airport FAA safety and security regulations
