Job Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or possession of GED
  • three to five years of experience in building maintenance and/or any of the skilled trades
  • ability to learn and apply Airport security and safety rules and regulations
  • ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines
  • class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B) or ability to obtain within six months
  • on call status
  • sufficient clarity of speech and hearing
  • sufficient vision or other powers of observation
  • sufficient manual dexterity
  • sufficient strength and endurance to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or possession of GED
  • three to five years of experience in building maintenance and/or any of the skilled trades
  • ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing
  • skill in the use of hand and power tools
  • ability to understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures and instructions
  • ability and willingness to quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge
  • integrity, ingenuity and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks

Job Duties

  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on all structural and mechanical systems within airport facilities
  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on small equipment, irrigation systems, jetway bridges, commute-a-walks and related
  • Troubleshoots and replaces defective electrical and electronic equipment
  • Installs electric, computer and telephone cable
  • Troubleshoots, performs preventative maintenance and performs repairs on Building HVAC systems
  • Performs snow removal and de-icing operations during snow storms
  • Enforces Airport FAA safety and security regulations
