Job Requirements
- Must be a local (in-state) resident
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
- Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces

Job Duties
- Ensures proper conveyances set up to sort and distribute incoming bags
- Reads and verifies the city and flight number for every bag to ensure correct loading of customer bags
- Organizes and prioritizes baggage load for delivery to the proper aircraft for loading
- Ensures compliance with all TSA, DOT, FAA, OSHA safety rules, regulations, and applicable laws
- Accepts responsibility for the safety of the scanner and associated equipment
- Scans each bag as it arrives at the bag room
- Forwards and receives bags to/from TSA for processing
- Ensures appropriate attention is paid to priority items
- Handles customer interaction in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position
