- ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- physical ability to lift heavy baggage and stand for extended periods
- compliance with airport security regulations
- willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in baggage handling or related airport ground operations a plus
- ability to operate ground support equipment is advantageous
- strong communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols
- physical fitness to perform manual labor and lift heavy items
Job Duties
- loads and unloads aircraft baggage and cargo
- services and directs aircraft on the ground
- safeguards customers' baggage air cargo air mail and COMAT from weather loss theft damage and destruction
- handles all aspects of loading stowing and unloading baggage cargo airmail air freight according to predetermined plans
- receives and records customer baggage air freight mail and company materials
