Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18
  • high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • valid, unexpired, and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant state driver's license
  • ability to work rotating shifts including days, overnights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off
  • flexible to work additional hours with short notice
  • able to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags weighing up to 75 lbs
  • customer focused, detail oriented, and interested in the airline industry
  • able to communicate clearly, politely, and in a friendly manner
  • comfortable working with computers and learning new computer programs
  • able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  • authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist passengers with claims for lost or damaged luggage
  • provide announcements explaining baggage procedures and assist disabled passengers
  • remove unclaimed bags from carousel
  • stack unclaimed items onto baggage carts and into storage racks or shelves
  • track and reconcile all claims filed by customers
  • push or pull baggage cart using two hands with forces between 51.4 lbs and 70 lbs
  • occasionally twist and turn upper and lower back when retrieving or placing luggage
