Job Requirements

  • currently possess USAF pilot rating
  • hold valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • meet total military flight time minimums as per GS level
  • submit official flight time documentation such as ATAFR-209 form or flying history report
  • meet Air Force Reserve military membership qualifications
  • comply with age
  • height
  • weight
  • and physical fitness standards
  • availability for full-time work schedule
  • willingness to wear military uniform and maintain military specialty requirements

Job Qualifications

  • possess a USAF pilot rating
  • hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum 750 to 1500 total military flight hours depending on GS level
  • two or more years of progressively responsible flying experience for instructor roles
  • ability to meet military physical fitness and uniform requirements
  • experience in flying component of the U.S. military establishment
  • knowledge of mission design series for assigned aircraft

Job Duties

  • operate and pilot military aircraft in assigned mission design series
  • conduct flight instruction and evaluation for pilots
  • maintain a high standard of flight readiness and operational proficiency
  • comply with Air Force Reserve military regulations and standards
  • maintain and update flight logs and documentation
  • support training missions and operational deployments
  • coordinate with military and civilian personnel for mission execution
