Job Requirements

  • valid USAF pilot rating
  • valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum 750 to 1,500 total military flight hours dependent on grade
  • at least two years progressively responsible flying experience for instructor positions
  • ability to obtain and maintain Air Force Reserve membership
  • physical fitness meeting military standards
  • adherence to military uniform and specialty requirements
  • submission of ATAFR-209 form or official flying history documentation
  • willingness to serve as Air Reserve Technician
  • availability for potential active duty deployment
  • no formal education qualification required

Job Qualifications

  • possession of USAF pilot rating
  • valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum military flight time in mission design series depending on grade
  • progressive flying experience in U.S. military establishment
  • leadership experience qualifying for Wing Operations and Training Officer roles
  • submission of official flight documentation
  • eligibility for Air Reserve Technician position
  • capability to maintain military membership and fulfill military standards
  • experience as flight instructor for GS-13 and GS-14 grades

Job Duties

  • fly assigned aircraft safely and proficiently
  • conduct training missions and flight instruction
  • maintain accurate and detailed flight logs and reports
  • comply with all military and aviation regulations
  • participate in emergency and mobilization operations readiness
  • coordinate with unit operations and training officers
  • mentor junior pilots and provide leadership in mission execution
