Job Requirements

  • Must possess a USAF Pilot rating
  • Hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • Meet minimum flight hour requirements per grade level
  • Provide official flight history documentation including ATAFR-209 Form or equivalent
  • Meet military age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards
  • Obtain and maintain membership in the Air Force Reserve
  • Ability to serve in a dual civilian-military capacity as an Air Reserve Technician

Job Qualifications

  • Possess a valid USAF Pilot rating
  • Hold a current and valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • Have requisite total military flight hours as specified for respective GS grade
  • Demonstrate progressively responsible flying experience for instructor roles
  • Ability to meet military membership requirements in the Air Force Reserve
  • Maintain military specialty qualifications and physical fitness standards

Job Duties

  • Conduct flight operations in assigned mission design series aircraft
  • Maintain current USAF Pilot rating and aviation service aeronautical orders
  • Perform duties as flight instructor including training and evaluating pilot proficiency
  • Participate in wing operations and support training programs
  • Comply with Air Force Reserve uniform and military specialty qualifications
  • Maintain physical fitness and meet military standards
  • Submit and maintain accurate and up-to-date flight records and documentation
