Job Requirements

  • possession of a USAF pilot rating
  • hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum total military flight time in the mission design series (750 to 1500 hours depending on grade)
  • must supply official documentation verifying flight hours and recent flight activity
  • meet Air Force Reserve military membership requirements including age, height, weight, and physical fitness
  • be eligible to be appointed as an Air Reserve Technician
  • submission of ATAFR-209 Form, Flying History Report or equivalent
  • compliance with military uniform and specialty standards
  • ability to work full-time as an Air Reserve Technician

Job Qualifications

  • possession of a USAF pilot rating
  • hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum required military flight time based on grade
  • progressively responsible experience in U.S. military flying assignments for instructor roles
  • experience qualifying for progression to Wing Operations and Training Officer or equivalent
  • ability to obtain and maintain Air Force Reserve military membership
  • compliance with Air Force Reserve uniform and military specialty requirements
  • meet physical fitness standards

Job Duties

  • fly assigned aircraft in support of Air Force Reserve missions
  • conduct training and evaluation flights as required
  • ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations and standards
  • maintain proficiency in mission design series aircraft operations
  • participate in mission planning and execution
  • provide mentorship and instruction to junior pilots
  • report and document all flight activities
