Job Requirements

  • possession of a USAF pilot rating
  • valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum 750 military flight hours for GS-2181-12
  • minimum 1,000 military flight hours for GS-2181-13
  • minimum 1,200 military flight hours plus two years progressive experience for GS-2181-13 flight instructor
  • minimum 1,500 military flight hours plus three years progressive experience for GS-2181-14 flight instructor
  • submission of ATAFR-209 Form or equivalent flight history documentation
  • ability to obtain and maintain Air Force Reserve military membership
  • compliance with military physical and fitness standards

Job Qualifications

  • minimum total military flight time as specified per grade level
  • experience in flying components of the U.S. military

Job Duties
