Job Requirements

  • possession of USAF pilot rating
  • hold valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum military flight time as per GS-2181 grade
  • submission of flying history documentation
  • eligibility for Air Force Reserve membership
  • ability to maintain military specialty requirements
  • meet age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards

Job Qualifications

  • USAF pilot rating
  • valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum required military flight time depending on GS level
  • progressively responsible flying experience for instructor roles
  • completion of ATAFR-209 form or equivalent flight history documentation
  • ability to meet military membership and fitness standards
  • experience in mission design series aircraft

Job Duties

  • operate Air Force airplanes and helicopters in mission design series
  • conduct flight instruction and training for junior pilots
  • maintain and submit accurate flight logs and history
  • comply with military and aviation safety regulations
  • participate in military readiness activities and emergency mobilizations
  • perform duties in accordance with Air Reserve Technician requirements
  • coordinate with military and civilian personnel to ensure mission success
