Job Description

The United States Air Force Reserve is seeking highly skilled and experienced pilots for several positions including Airplane Pilot, Helicopter Pilot, and Flight Instructor. These positions are part of the Air Reserve Technician (ART) program, which offers a unique blend of civilian and military career opportunities. Job Requirements

  • USA pilot rating
  • valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum military flight time according to grade level
  • submission of ATAFR-209 form or official flying history report
  • military membership in Air Force Reserve
  • compliance with uniform, age, height, weight, and fitness standards
  • ability to serve on active duty as required

Job Qualifications

  • Possess a USAF Pilot rating
  • Hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • Meet minimum total military flight time in mission design series as per grade level
  • Demonstrate progressively responsible flying experience especially for flight instructor roles
  • Ability to qualify for progression into leadership roles such as Wing Operations and Training Officer
  • Experience in military flying components for 2-3 years for higher grade levels
  • Capability to produce official flying history documentation
  • Eligible for military membership in the Air Force Reserve

Job Duties

  • Maintain proficiency and safety in piloting airplane or helicopter aircraft
  • Conduct flight instruction for pilots including training and evaluation
  • Execute operational flying missions in alignment with Air Force Reserve objectives
  • Submit required flight documentation and maintain accurate records of flight hours and aircraft types
  • Participate in military drills, training, and readiness exercises
  • Comply with military uniform and physical fitness standards
  • Engage in continuous professional development and mission-specific training
