Job Requirements
- USAF Pilot rating required
- Valid aviation service aeronautical order mandatory
- Submit official documentation proving flight hours and type of aircraft flown
- Meet flight time requirements as per grade level
- Demonstrate progressively responsible flying experience for instructor roles
- Obtain and maintain Air Force Reserve membership
- Meet military physical fitness and uniform standards
- Ability to perform duties under mobilization orders
- Submit statement of service or DD214 if applicable
- Adhere to full-time work schedule
- Familiarity with military specialty requirements
Job Qualifications
- Possess a USAF Pilot rating
- Hold valid aviation service aeronautical order
- For GS-2181-12 positions, have minimum 750 military flight hours
- For GS-2181-13 positions, have minimum 1000 military flight hours
- For GS-2181-13 flight instructor positions, have minimum 1200 military flight hours and two years of progressively responsible flight experience
- For GS-2181-14 flight instructor positions, have minimum 1500 military flight hours and three years of progressively responsible flight experience
- Experience in flying component of U.S. military establishment
- Ability to meet Air Force Reserve military membership requirements
- Maintain physical fitness, age, height, and weight standards
Job Duties
- Operate and pilot assigned aircraft safely and efficiently
- Conduct flight missions according to Air Force Reserve regulations and mission objectives
- Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and procedures
- Provide flight instruction and training to Reserve personnel as required
- Maintain detailed flight records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation and military standards
- Participate in military preparedness activities and annual active duty tours
